PE Hand Film

How to choose hand stretch film

Hand film choices come down to width, roll length, gauge and color. The right mix depends on your loads and on who does the wrapping.

• Width: Most of our hand rolls are 18 in wide. 12 in, 14 in and 16 in rolls are lighter and handy for small boxes and bundles.
• Length: Choose 550 ft, 600 ft, 800 ft, 1,000 ft or 1,500 ft. Shorter rolls weigh less in the hand. Longer rolls mean fewer roll changes.
• Gauge: We stock 50, 65, 70, 80 and 90 gauge. Light, even boxes may only need 50 to 70 gauge. Heavy or uneven loads point toward 80 or 90 gauge.
• Color: Clear suits most loads and keeps labels readable. Black film comes in 18 in x 1,000 ft and 18 in x 1,500 ft at 80 gauge when you want contents hidden.
• Pack: Every hand film roll ships 4 rolls per carton. Order by the carton and keep a spare on each packing line.
